Hi, my name is......

So being new to this blogging, I thought I should start of with a brief introduction. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. A few things about me, I work full time at a boring office job, I take photos whenever I can, I am married, going on 10 years in fact. My husband is camera shy and I will respect that and not post a picture of him. I have a 9 year old son who loves sports. Here is his picture from our recent vacation.

He would kill me if he knew this was the picture that I posted of him. Apparently in his crowd, horses are not cool.

I have two cats. Lucky was found on my porch weighing 1 pound and did not know how to eat. Now she is 10 years old and eats just fine.

She loves to snuggle, cuddle and eat. She also has an annoying habit of rustling papers, cardboard boxes or anything else to make noise when she feels attention is not appropriately focused on her.

Tippy is my son’s cat. We adopted her through ADOPT http://www.animalshelter.org/shelters/Animals_Deserving_of_Proper_Treatment_-_ADOPT_rId1367_rS_pC.html and my son took great care in choosing her. Here she is:

She is so good with my son, follows him, sleeps with him and is just a good kitty. Unfortunately she also will eat any clothing left out, can open most of our closet doors and had destroyed several blankets, quilts, socks and business suits. A very expensive cat but lucky for her I am a sucker for a cute face.

So that’s my family. As for me, I love to take photos. I love animals. I love nature. And I hope to share some of that through this blog along with the trials and tribulations of someone trying to make their passion into more than just a hobby.

Diane

  2. Wow! I can't believe you got that shot of the coyote! They are usually VERRY allusive! He looks to be real healthy too. We have coyotes on our 80 acre ranch. The farmers hate them and are always trying to shoot them. We feed them,so we have a family of mom ,dad, and 5 baby's. Bill disturbed the accidental once and the mom carried all 5 across the 35 acre pasture, one at a time, until all 5 were safely moved. It was WAY cool!! Karla-

  4. Thanks Karla, The coyotes on your ranch sound adorable. A lot of people out here don't like them either. I live in a suburban area and people worry about their dogs and stuff. This coyote seemed completely unconcerned by my presence. He/she was hopping around the grass after something. It was cute but I had to remind myself it's a wild animal
