Starved Rock State Park

Sunday I spent about 7 hours hiking through Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. It is a valley that was created by glaciers exposing sandstone cliffs, creating waterfalls and landscape that is not the norm for Illinois.

I took a lot of photographs in an attempt to capture the beauty there. I will be featuring photos from Starved Rock over the next several days. Today is a sampling. I will then go thematically with a day focused on waterfalls, one on flowers, and so on. I hope you enjoy.
