Mums in the Garden 2

I am continuing with my feature on the mums this week and focusing today on one that is blooming.

I look forward to the deep rich reds of these flowers at the end of summer and into fall.

Shallow depth of field keeps only one flower focused

Up close you can see the water from the soaker hose

Thank you for stopping by. I have more photographs on Flickr and Facebook. To see those you can click on the links along the left side of the blog for either Flickr or Facebook. To see more of my photography, you can also visit my Artfire studio, The Shutterbug Eye.

  1. Beautiful shot. Perhaps an environmental shot that depicts the soil as well. The last shot is perfect. Great work.

  2. I really LOVE the color of these!

So, you use your garden as your photography studio, too? I'm guilty of it! :)

  3. Thanks and yes, I do sometimes use my garden, though I go to other gardens too. But when I see something pretty in my yard, I feel compelled to photograph it. :-)
