Photowalking with Corbin

So as I have mentioned, Saturday I went to the Naperville Riverwalk with my son Corbin who is 10 and in fourth grade.  Here he is.

Corbin army crawling to get the shot

He wanted me to share some of his photos from the day so here they are.  I hope you enjoy.  He took these and edited them himself, with just a little help from me.

A pretty tulip garden we passed on the way there.

Carillon

A garden snake he found.

A male Mallard duck swimming.  (he even got good reflection)

Canadian Goose

A cute Chihuahua puppy.

Corbin would love to read your comments on his photos.  This is his first time sharing anything like this on the internet.  I hope you enjoyed them.

  5. Great job Corbin! I like that you were doing the "army crawl" to get your shot; perspective is very important to capturing an unique image. Keep shooting!

  6. Looks like talent runs in the family! Corbin, you're doing great, getting down on the ground to get the perspective you want for your shot. Your photos have great color and exposure, wonderful texture, lots of interest. Keep up the good work and never stop learning and experimenting!

  7. I so enjoyed your shots. Well except the snake as Granny HATES snakes. Been bit to many times and now I am just flat scared of them all. Boy the army crawl comes in handy for lots of things. You have a talent like your Mom for finding Kewl things to shoot with your camera. So glad you enjoyed your day. Moms are fun to be with aren't they? Enjoy your spring, summer will soon arrive with new adventures just waiting to be had.

  8. Wow, it runs in the family. Those are amazing. Love the ducks, tulips and puppy shots. Though I cringe when I see a snake, that is an amazing photo. Well done, Corbin.

  11. Wow, thanks everyone! Corbin really appreciates the support and kind words. After soccer he pointed out all the Robins hopping around the field outside and commented - we should bring a camera everywhere. I will do another photo walk soon with him. I believe baby geese season is near. ;-)

  13. He has a great eye! It's great to have a photography interest when you're young! That's about when I started taking pictures, and I've never gotten bored with it. Good job Corbin!

  14. They're wonderful photos! I think he has lots of talent and potential. And I LIKE the snake photo. When I was a kid, I loved snakes (I have to confess, this did not make me popular among other little girls). We didn't have any garden snakes where I grew up and I always envied kids who could go out and catch them, as opposed to have to beg your parents to let you buy one at the pet store, like me. So I am envious of Corbin being able to take photos of them! :)

  15. Thanks all. I will be sure to share these comments with him.

Janiss - he was so excited to find the snake. He saw it. I scared it because I was too late at seeing it. Otherwise there would have been some good snake sunbathing photos. Maybe next time.

  16. He did a really excellent job with these photos. I especially like the one with the snake. I can tell by the top picture that he is very committed to this. I haven't seen many better photos than these that he got.
