A quick call

A quick call

Today I'm sharing one of myself sitting on my porch. I had high hopes for my photo shoot yesterday of getting some good "on my way out the door in the morning" type shots. Instead the were all horribly underexposed. I have no idea what I did wrong. I can only think that the shadows of the trees, see them, had the camera confused.

It's hard to set metering when you are the subject. You are not in front of the camera to set metering and focus. I find non cluttered backgrounds and consistent lighting to work best.

This is the one I edited the least as the light hit my face nicely and so I thought that it worked. What do you think?

Tomorrow I will share some photos I have listed over at Etsy. Have a lovely Thursday!

  1. I like it as well as the idea for the photo shoot.

  2. I like it a lot. The selective lighting gives it a great air of mystery I think.

  3. I like the darkness in this one. I agree with others that it gives a bit of mystery. But I also see a quiet contemplative moment.
