Spring Tulip Garden

This is the photo I used in my week 4 diptych - see below. My theme was red and you can visit my "The Color Red" set on flickr to see the full range of red photos I took last week.

You can also find this image listed on Etsy as Spring Tulip Garden.  I have many other garden photos and more on my Etsy shop.

Below is the final Diptych for Week 4 of the Female Photographers of Etsy project Miss Match.  My theme was "Red" and the other themes were "Yellow" and "White".  You can check out all the diptychs by clicking the "Miss Match" button in the left column.

  2. Thanks so much Debbie! :-) I took so many red shots last week it wasn't funny. This weeks theme is "fresh" and I'm struggling at the moment.

  3. Beautiful tulips. i don't have any of these I'm going to have to make a note to get some for next spring.
I see your next theme is fresh, you could always go to a grocery store and take shots of fresh produce. How about a fresh glass of milk with fresh baked cookies. Sorry couldn't help myself those just popped in my head..lol

  4. I like what you did with the photo of the tulips. The other colors and shades really bring out the red very well.

  5. Ann, thanks for the suggestions. I'm gonna shoot a bowl of fresh fruit today, fresh cleaned face and maybe bake some biscuits and take pics of me taking them out of the oven. That's my plan today.

Ratty, thanks. I selected the red tulips and separated them out from the rest and then desaturated a little bit all of the other colors so they still had color but the red would stand out the most.
