Pink Spring macro


Pink Spring macro

Today I am sharing more flower buds. These small pink flowers are in my garden as well. Tomorrow I will share another photo of them featuring some that have bloomed.

  3. Thanks! You don't have to use a special lens though the right settings are always good. I used a 60mm macro lens for this in aperture priority mode. I'll be honest - I don't remember what f-stop I used but will guess it was 8 or 9.

  4. I really like this photo. Macro shots of flower buds are a favorite of mine. I seem to always have problems getting good macros. I was just getting good with my old camera, but now I have to learn all over again with my new one.

  5. thanks Ratty. The secret really is manual focus. When you work with a small depth of field manual focus lets you focus on what you want not what the camera thinks. :-)
