Red winged blackbird

Today I am sharing a photo from yesterday of a red winged blackbird. I took this while walking to my son's lacrosse game. There were lots of these birds flying around one area of the field.

This is a male, they are black with the red and some yellow color on their shoulder, thus the name of the bird. The female is actually a brown color and not black at all.

I am about to head out to look for those baby ducks this morning. My son woke me and is looking forward to the outing. Have a wonderful day!
